Alloy Now was a solo project by Heavy Leef and Plastic Overlords front man David Noel. In 2000, Noel simultaneously released Twin Sister of the Milky Way along with the Plastic Overlords' eponymous debut. Both albums were well-received in the space rock/psych/prog underground press. Noel's idiosyncratic British sound convinced some reviewers that he hailed from the UK rather than the USA. The ridiculous inner sleeve photo (seen above) likely didn't help.
